- Eagles
- A gross score on a hole that is 2 less than par
- Birdies
- A gross score on a hole that is 1 less than par
- Sandies
- Player defined:
- A player hits a shot out of the sand and one putts to make a par or better
- A player hits a shot out of the sand and one putts with no limit on score
- A player makes a par after hitting a shot in the sand anywhere on the hole.
- Fairways
- A shot hit off of the tee that comes to rest in the fairway. It must be the first shot hit on the hole.
- Putts
- Any stroke taken on the putting green
- Greenies
- Player defined:
- Closest to the pin on par three holes after all players have teed off. Must be on the green.
- Closest to the pin on all holes.
- In regulation (1 shot on par 3, 2 shots on par 4, 3 shots on par 5)
- Can be awarded after all players have reached green
- Greens
- Hitting any green in regulation (1 shot on par 3, 2 shots on par 4, 3 shots on par 5)
- Other #1
- Player defined unique to your game (i.e. first in, snake - 3 putt)
- Other #2
- Player defined unique to your game (i.e. first in, snake - 3 putt)
- Other #3
- Player defined unique to your game (i.e. first in, snake - 3 putt)

- Point
- Tracking metric used in sidegames
- Unit
- Represents the value of an individual bet either won or lost. In many games, points equate to units (i.e. Skins, 9’s & Dots).
- Gross
- The total strokes taken with no allowance for handicap
- Net
- The total strokes taken less the allowed handicap strokes
- Net As Marked
- Total handicap strokes for a player applied to individual holes as appropriate
- Net Differential
- Players receive strokes based on their handicap minus the handicap of the lowest handicap player in the group.
- Handicap Holes
- Ranking of holes from hardest (#1) to easiest (#18) on an individual course.
- Press
- Creates an additional bet beginning on the hole it is accepted. The additional bet runs through the end of that 9 hole segment.
- Carryover
- When a bet is tied, that point or unit is added to the next hole or segment (i.e. Back 9) to be won or lost. An example in skins would be competitors tying on 3 consecutive holes with a winner established on the 4th hole. The competitor winning the 4th hole would receive 4 points.
Games
- Nassau
- This is a hole by hole match between two players. There is one point awarded to the lowest score on every hole played. A tie in the score results in no point being awarded. This can be played either as a net score comparison or a gross score comparison. Each match is considered to be a single unit regardless of the number of points won.
Extra points can be awarded on holes if the players determine to include Dots also known as “specials” or “beans” inside the game. This is often referred to as “junk in the game”. - Dots
- These are sometimes referred to as “junk”, “specials” or “beans”. These are points awarded based on specific shots or scores on an individual hole. “Dots” are scored as one point for each one earned.
The app provides buttons for Eagle, Birdie, Sandie and Greenie which are among the most common “Dots”. The app also provides three buttons named “Other #1”, “Other #2” & “Other#3” which provide users a way to score specials that are unique to their game. Eagles and Birdies are automatically scored in the app with Eagles securing 2 points and Birdies 1 point. These are awarded on gross scores only. “Dots” to be scored in each game are defined when each sidegame is set up. - Skins
- The low score on the hole receives a point. This game can be played either net or gross. The players can elect to carryover holes not won by a competitor to the next winning hole. It can be played as a team game comparing lowest scores on each team. Additional skins can be made available to competitors by designating any of the Dots available as skins inside of the game.
- 9s/16s/25s
- This is an individual game that awards points on each hole to competitors with lowest score getting the most points.

- The best ball of the players on a team is compared to the best ball of the players on the opposing team. The game can be played either gross or net.
- Team High / Low
- A point is awarded for the lowest score in the foursome on a hole and a point is taken away for the highest ball in the foursome. This can be played either gross or net and can include Dots inside the game as a way to earn additional points on each hole.
- Team Best Ball /
Aggregate - A point is awarded for the lowest score in the foursome on a hole and an additional point is available to the team with the lowest combined score on that hole. This can be played either gross or net and can include Dots inside the game as a way to earn additional points on each hole.
