About The App

Fun on the Links is game designed for recreational golfers, with divisions for players of all levels — no handicap required. The unique tournament set up also allows for men and women to compete side by side in this unique online game.

Any round you have played at a local course, that has been certified, can be used to enter a Competition. Fun on the Links has certified more than 11,800 courses across the country.

A single round can be used to create multiple entries in a Fun on the Links game. Give yourself multiple chances to win. You can also use that round to enter future Fun on the Links games. Every time you use that round to enter a game it is put through the proprietary FOTL handicap system, which creates a completely new gaming experience.

Certification

Fun on the Links has over 15,000 courses in our database and are actively working through our local ambassadors to verify the information in our database is correct. There are over 11,800 tournament eligible courses. To be eligible a course must be a par 70 or higher and have a USGA rating and slope from all Tees. We are particularly concerned with verifying the par on individual holes and the associated locally assigned handicap rating for that hole.

Once the information is verified by the ambassador, the course will then be certified for play in a Fun on the Links tournament. Certified courses have a green badge in the course listing on the web site. In the app we display tournament eligible courses with a gold trophy. Grey trophies indicate that they may be eligible for tournament play, but we are lacking one or more elements of data. No trophy attached to a golf course listing indicates it is not tournament eligible.

Please contact us if you believe your course is eligible for certification or if it is not in our database.
